NTNU Presents APOLLO at Norway’s Solar Cell Conference
NTNU brought the APOLLO project into the spotlight at the Norwegian Solar Cell Conference (NSSC), held May 20–21, 2025, in Son, Norway. As the nation’s premier platform for solar research, the event provided a valuable opportunity to share innovations with a community of solar energy experts.
The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) participated with a poster presentation by Jonas Låstad, Kai Tang, Alexander Ulyashin, and Jafar Safarian that highlighted recent research findings alongside the broader aims of the APOLLO project. The presentation drew significant interest from fellow researchers and industry attendees, particularly for its promising results, which indicated high material purity and the potential suitability of the product for Czochralski casting processes.
The feedback and networking at NSSC 2025 reaffirmed APOLLO’s relevance within both the Norwegian and European solar research landscape. This year’s programme addressed key topics, including silicon materials, PV system integration, advanced applications such as Agri-PV and Floating PV, as well as recycling and emerging technologies, all of which closely align with APOLLO’s research focus.
Organised by the Norwegian Research Centre for Solar Cell Technology, NSSC gathers more than a hundred participants annually to exchange ideas, showcase advances, and explore solutions to current challenges in solar cell development. Events like these continue to foster meaningful collaboration, supporting innovation across borders in the renewable energy transition.
