APOLLO at the QUASAR Co-Creation Workshop on Circular PV

How can circular solutions for end-of-life PV modules be translated into practice?
This question was addressed at the QUASAR Co-Creation Workshop, where the APOLLO project was represented by Cláudia Fernandes, who attended on behalf of APOLLO partner EDP.

The workshop brought together industry and research stakeholders to discuss practical approaches to repairing, reusing, and recycling photovoltaic modules. Building on outcomes from a previous co-creation session, participants focused on turning identified barriers into actionable opportunities, including:

  • circular business models for end-of-life PV management,

  • ecodesign principles supporting repair and reuse, and

  • collaborative systems for the collection and recycling of PV modules.

The event also highlighted the importance of structured stakeholder input for European policymaking, with workshop outcomes contributing to ongoing project development and wider discussions on circular economy frameworks.

Through participation in this workshop, APOLLO continues to engage in cross-project knowledge exchange and supports collaborative efforts toward more circular photovoltaic systems.
