Watch the LOOPS webinar: APOLLO on traceability for Critical Raw Materials recovery
The APOLLO project was featured in a recent LOOPS webinar on Advanced Tracking Technologies for Critical Raw Material Recovery, alongside the EU-funded EVEN CLOSER and RETURN projects.
The session explored how advanced tracking technologies can contribute to more sustainable and resilient circular value chains for Critical Raw Materials (CRMs), with a particular focus on Digital Product Passports (DPPs), digital marketplaces and traceability platforms.
APOLLO and digital traceability
During the webinar, APOLLO presented its work on high-value silicon recovery from photovoltaic panels and the use of the Minespider platform to link passports across product lifecycles.
The discussion also addressed the wider technological, policy and implementation challenges associated with scaling these solutions. A representative from DG Environment of the European Commission contributed perspectives on barriers and policy implications related to their implementation.
