APOLLO represented at sustainability and raw materials events in France and Norway

TheAPOLLOproject was recently represented at two international events focused on sustainability, photovoltaics, and raw materials research, contributing to discussions with both industry and research communities.

SOLARIS – PV Sustainability Workshop

On 22 April 2026, APOLLO was presented at the SOLARIS – PV Sustainability Workshop, held at INES in Le Bourget-du-Lac.

The workshop focused on sustainable solar photovoltaics, including:

  • environmental performance of PV technologies

  • end-of-life management

  • circular strategies across the PV value chain

The event brought together experts from research, industry, and policy to discuss approaches for reducing the environmental footprint of solar energy while improving performance and reliability.

The APOLLO project was represented by Fraunhofer CSP, which presented the project and its work on circular photovoltaic solutions.

Hydrometallurgy in Raw Materials Utilization Seminar

On 7 May 2026, APOLLO research was presented at the Hydrometallurgy in Raw Materials Utilization seminar in Trondheim.

The seminar is part of HydroMetEC, a lifelong learning programme coordinated by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) within the EIT Raw Materials Academy. The initiative focuses on hydrometallurgical processes for metal extraction and recycling, supporting circular economy approaches for primary and secondary raw materials.

The event gathered participants from industry and research communities working in mining, metallurgy, recycling, and raw materials processing. APOLLO was represented by NTNU, presenting research activities carried out within the project.

We would like to thank our partners Fraunhofer CSP and NTNU for representing the APOLLO project and contributing to discussions on sustainability and circular solutions in photovoltaics.
