APOLLO represented at two circular PV events in November 2025
In November 2025, the APOLLO project was represented at two events relevant to circularity and end-of-life PV management—supporting dialogue with industry and research communities.
Recycling and Circular Next
APOLLO was represented at Recycling and Circular Next in Gorinchem, the Netherlands, with participation from the project partner, the University of Glasgow. The event targeted industry and business partners, providing an opportunity to connect with stakeholders active in circular solutions.
PV Days 2025
APOLLO also took part in PV Days 2025, held on 12–13 November 2025 in Halle (Saale), Germany, hosted by Fraunhofer CSP. The event gathered approximately 65 experts from research, industry, plant operation, insurance, and energy supply to exchange perspectives on key photovoltaic challenges and opportunities.
APOLLO was represented by Fraunhofer CSP, with Dr. Andreas Obst chairing the recycling session. In addition, the APOLLO project was presented at the conference exhibition, which provided space for informal exchange and the development of joint project ideas.
Key conference takeaways highlighted at PV Days included:
Material standards and transparency: Harmonised standards and traceable material data are essential for module quality, durability, and recyclability.
Data-based quality assurance: Reliable measurement data and intelligent analytics support operation, risk management, and predictive maintenance.
Digital innovation: AI-supported methods and new KPIs enable more precise fault diagnostics and performance optimisation.
Sustainability and circular economy: Material passports and scalable recycling processes support the recovery of valuable raw materials and strengthen circularity in the PV sector.
We would like to thank our partners, the University of Glasgow and Fraunhofer CSP, for representing the APOLLO project and contributing to discussions on circular and sustainable photovoltaic solutions.
